Things to Do Before/After the Wedding:
Łódź: A cool city with a unique history, street art, and Piotrkowska Street (one of the longest shopping streets in Europe). (We both hate it, this is chatGPT recommendation)
Warsaw: Poland's capital! Visit the beautiful Old Town, Royal Castle, and museums.
Southern Poland: If you are flying to Katowice you can check out Krakow and the Tatra Mountains. (Krakow is amazing)
We will hapilly advise you based on your availability. Ping us ;)
First time in Poland - useful info
There are ATMs everywhere
You can pay with card pretty much anywhere you will be, but small shops usually prefer cash
You will be fine with English in bigger cities, but it might be tough in a small town like Zdunska Wola
Uber etc is available in large cities
What to eat in Poland?
Pierogi: These are traditional dumplings filled with a variety of ingredients such as potato, cheese, meat, mushrooms, or even fruits.
Bigos: Often referred to as "hunter's stew," bigos is a hearty dish made with cabbage, sauerkraut, and a mix of meats.
Żurek: This sour rye soup often includes sausage, potatoes, and eggs. It's a comforting and unique flavor experience.
Placki Ziemniaczane: These potato pancakes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, often served with sour cream or goulash.
Gołąbki: These are cabbage rolls stuffed with minced meat and rice, often baked in a tomato sauce.
Dress code
Think of a summer garden party. Be elegant but relaxed.
You will walk on grass all the time, so take appropriate shoes. A floor for dancing is planned.
Polish summers are warm but take something extra to wear for the night.
Gifts and wedding registry
We really appreciate you being at the wedding. There is no wedding registry. If you would like to give us something, please try to avoid anything difficult to bring back to Norway. We cannot travel with any alcohol and we will need to pay tax on any obviously big and new items.
If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon trip with cold, hard cash - we will certainly appreciate it :)
Parking at the venue
If you are staying at the Na Pol Boru hotel (the recommended one) you have great parking space there, and the bus will take you to and back from the party. There will be some parking available directly in front of Michal's parents venue as well.
